Come here multiple times every year. Not to be missed. Great food and ambiance. Their local artisanal mezcal is exceptional . The ladies in the kitchen can do some awesome cooking . No need to slather salsa on everything , each item has a distinctive flavor profile that needs to be savored .
My husband and I had dinner this evening at Latia Chona and the atmosphere is absolutely lovely. It was the first place since we’ve been in Durango that we actually had good service. Thank you to all of the staff are meals were delicious everything was prepared. Well tasted good, and was very satisfying. At the end we decided to have salon, and that was outstanding as well. I recommend if you want a beautiful environment, good service, and a lovely meal of traditional Foods from Durango. It’s a great choice.

Loved this restaurant. Staff made us feel welcomed and our business appreciated. English spoken. I asked for the favorite dish and got a sampler/large plate with 5 items. Daily special water very good. Chicken and mole excellent. One of the best meals we have had in a long time.
